What is Embroidery?
Machine embroidery is an embroidery process whereby an embroidery machine is used to create patterns on textiles. It is used commercially in product branding, corporate advertising, and uniform adornment. It is also used in the fashion industry to decorate garments and apparel. Embroidery can be added to almost any cloth or fabric. Machine embroidery is used to decorate gifts, clothing, and home decor. Examples include designs on quilts, pillows, and reusable bags. If you’re looking to add a little pizazz to your garments, embroidery is the way to go!
Our custom embroidery services will give your product that extra special look. A special design is stitched onto a garment that otherwise would be difficult to print. The higher the “thread count” used on your product, the more detailed and cleaner the final design will look. Not all images are suitable for embroidery, however.
Embroidery Vs. Screen Printing
It’s important to understand the differences between embroidery and screen printing so that you may decide which decoration method best suits your products. Screen printing produces a soft, flat image that will adhere to most garments and is best on cost effective items such as t-shirts, and some hoodies to keep the costs low. It’s more complicated to print on materials that are not flat. For this reason, jackets, hats, and bags are usually best embroidered. Unique textures, gradients, and shading in the design, is where screen printing really shines.

Pricing
In general, pricing is based on the total stitch count included in a design. For an embroidery job, the first thing you’ll want to consider is the detail and time that go into producing that logo or image. The more detail required, the higher the thread count will need to be to perfect your design. Typically, chest size logos fall within the $10- $15 range each. Whereas, a full back design (depending on detail) can range anywhere from $15- $80 each. Embroidery looks best on heavier garments and embroidery lasts as long as the product itself. When asking about pricing, you have to consider the price of the product, the price of the embroidery and the design of the logo all individually. When a new logo is created there will be a one time fee of $20 - $60 depending on time it takes to design the logo. As long as you don’t change your logo, you will not incur this fee again. For my embroidery services, I charge $1 per 1,000 stitches with a minimum of $10 per design location.
